Aloes: The Definitive Guide shortlisted for an award.
The Garden Media Guild Awards celebrate the best in garden writing. Aloes: The Definitive Guide, co-published by Kew Publishing and the BCSS, was nominated for one of their prestigious awards: Reference book of the year 2011, and was one of five finalists. This is somewhat akin to a book being on the shortlist for the Man Booker Prize for fiction. The Aloes authors Susan Carter, John Lavranos, Len Newton and Colin Walker have been awarded certificates, and their nominations allow them to use the Garden Media Guild logo on their stationery.
