Headlines from the 2011 AGM

• The zone system will stay but may be subject to a review.
• The Autumn General Meeting will no longer be held.
• Cathy Darbon awarded a RHM.
• John Pilbeam elected President by popular acclaim.
• Dr J Gibbs elected Vice Chairman Eddie Harris re-elected Secretary.
• By a narrow majority Dr Alasdair Glen elected Chairman.
• Alice Vandon Bon awarded RHM
• John Arnold outgoing Chairman awarded lifetime membership for his past and ongoing commitment to and work for the society.

The Society currently holds one  general meeting a year.

The Annual General Meeting will be held at Winstanley High School and Community College, Braunstone, Leicester, LE3 3BD on the 14th April.

As well as the  business side of the society there are also:

• The Hampshire Dunn Memorial Lecture
• Plant Sales
• Book Sales
• Excellent catering
