| 2-4 March | The 45th Northern Weekend at Alston Hall will commence at 7.00pm on Friday March
2nd, and finish at 3.45 pm on Sunday March 4th 2012. Speakers for the weekend are,
Aldo Delladdio, Graham Charles, Terry Smale and Trevor Wray; each speaker will give
two talks during the weekend.
There will be plant sales by Graham Charles, David Rushforth, Terry Smale, and members attending. There will be sales of pots and sundries by Philip Barker, and sales of books by Keith Larkin Booking started in July this year, but there are still one or two places available. Come and join us!! | 28 April | North West Cactus Mart: St Thomas More Church Hall, Kirkway, Alkrington, Middleton, Manchester, M24 1PP. 10:30-14:30. (Manchester Branch & North West Mesemb Show venue) This new venue for the mart is only one mile (3 mins) from junction 20 of the M60 Ring Road. | 12 May | 16th Havering Cactus Mart to be held at the North Romford Community Centre, Clockhouse Lane, Collier Row, RM5 3QJ. This is a new venue to recent ones, but up to 14 nurseries and 2 Specialist Societies will be in attendance plus our usual refreshments during the event. Open from 10am to 3pm, entry £1. All welcome. |

| 30 June | Annual 'South West Cacti Mart' at Portishead Youth Centre, 1, Harbour Road, Portishead, Bristol. BS20 7DD. Open 10.00-3.30 pm. This is being run by the Bristol Branch, BCSS. | 21 July | Harrow Branch Show: Scout & Guide Huts, off Grymsdyke Road, Hatch End, HA5 4PH. 11:00-16:30. Admission £1 (accompanied children under 12 free). Stuart Riley (Plantlife Cactus) will be judge and nurseryman on the day. |
